Jones, Foster, Johnston, & Stubbs, P.A. mourns the loss of friend and Shareholder, Thornton M. Henry, who passed away on July 7, 2018 at the age of 75.
Throughout his 46 year legal career, Tim was lauded for his commitment to his clients and the community. He was a Florida Bar Board Certified Tax attorney and served as trusted counsel to private families, closely-held businesses, public and private charities, and individual and corporate fiduciaries. Tim was consistently recognized as a preeminent trusts, estates, and probate attorney by his peers and various industry publications, having been named by Worth Magazine as one of the nation's Top 100 Attorneys, as a Super Lawyer by Florida Super Lawyers Magazine, amongst the Best Lawyers in America for over 20 years, and as a Top Lawyer by South Florida Legal Guide.
Tim was a published author and participated in over 30 mission trips. He was widely respected for his commitment to the community and was actively involved in numerous philanthropic endeavors. Tim partnered with charitable organizations such as the West Palm Beach Kiwanis Club and Foundation, Alzheimer’s Community Care, Community Foundation for Palm Beach and Martin Counties, Rehabilitation Center for Children and Adults in Palm Beach, The Order of St. John of Jerusalem, Memorial Presbyterian Church, Robert and Deborah Jacobson Foundation, and the Vincent E. Jay Foundation. Tim also served on advisory boards for organizations such as the Norton Museum, Palm Healthcare Foundation, The Place of Hope, and the Village of Hope and Scripps.
We had the privilege of calling Tim a colleague at Jones Foster for 44 years. His passing is a true loss to the Firm, the legal profession, and our community. Tim will be greatly missed.
