Congratulations, attorney Scott G. Hawkins, who is the recipient of the Palm Beach County Bar Association's Judge Edward Rodgers Diversity Award.
Hawkins, a former President of The Florida Bar, received the award at the Bar's annual Bench Bar Conference Luncheon on Friday, February 19, 2016.
The Judge Edward Rodgers Diversity Award is presented each year to an individual who (among other things) “Cultivates and promotes diversity and gender initiatives that establish and foster a more inclusive and equitable work environment.” He was nominated by attorney Grasford W. Smith, who had this to say:
“Simply put, Scott is one of those people who just “gets it.” He supports diversity because it is in his heart and not for recognition or acclaim.” . . . “I am confident that Judge Rodgers would be highly pleased that Scott Hawkins would receive the Award bearing his name because of Scott’s significant contributions to the Bar and the workforce.”
