May 18, 2012 – Jones, Foster, Johnston & Stubbs, P.A. announces that Christopher B. Cortez, a 2011 graduate of Leadership West Palm Beach and an upcoming 2012 graduate of Leadership Palm Beach County, has been elected to the Board of Governors for Leadership Palm Beach County.
Cortez, an associate attorney, serves on the Palm Beach County Bar Association’s Professionalism and Judicial Relations committees.
He graduated the University of Florida Levin College of Law, cum laude, in 2008 and is a member of the Law Alumni Council. He graduated with a double major in Finance and Business Law from the University of Miami, cum laude, in 2004 where he received the University of Miami School of Business "Brightest and Best" distinction in 2002, 2003, and 2004, and was a member of Beta Gamma Sigma and the Golden Key Honor Society.
Leadership Palm Beach County, Inc., is an educational nonprofit organization designed to foster awareness of community issues and promote efficient communication and cooperative relationships between existing and emerging community leaders. Through the Adult Leadership Program, the organization is devoted to preparing an active network of informed, concerned community trustees to help shape the future of Palm Beach County.
