Mike Kranz, a Shareholder with the firm since 1987 and member of the Firm’s Litigation Group, concentrates his practice in the areas of commercial litigation, probate and trust litigation, and creditors’ rights. With extensive knowledge in litigation and dispute resolution, Mike represents clients in a wide variety of industries and advocates relentlessly for their personal and business interests. He also regularly serves as a mediator for both commercial and probate matters.

Mike has a unique ability to get to the core of the issue at hand, resulting in effective time and cost management. He communicates regularly with his clients, ensuring that they understand the status of their case every step of the way in order to make the most informed decisions. Through decades of experience at the Firm, Mike is personally familiar with the various departments, enabling him to pull knowledge and resources to further support his client’s needs.

Mike has been recognized annually by Best Lawyers in America in Banking and Finance Litigation, and was named the 2013, 2016, and 2018 West Palm Beach Lawyer of the Year in Litigation – Banking and Finance. He was honored as a Legal Elite by Florida Trend in 2012 and 2018 and is named as a Top Lawyer of 2018 by Palm Beach Illustrated. Additionally, Mike holds an AV Preeminent Rating from Martindale-Hubbell, awarded to only those lawyers with the highest ethical standards and legal ability. While at Northwestern University, Mike was co-captain of the football team and a member of the All Big Ten Academic Team.

Mike is actively involved in various industry and community organizations. He previously served as a member of the Florida Bar Board of Governors and on the Board of the Young Lawyers Section. Mike has held various positions at the Palm Beach County Bar Association, including Treasurer, Secretary, President-elect, and President. Within the community, Mike has served on the Board of Directors for The Kings Academy and on the Board of Deacons for First Baptist Church of West Palm Beach.

  • Represented privately held corporation against a publicly traded corporation in an action based upon breach of an oral contract which resulted in a $30 million settlement.
  • Represented national bonding company in successful defense of construction delay and defect claim seeking damages in excess of $16 million in a 12-week hearing before an American Arbitration Association panel.
  • Represented banks in hundreds of complex commercial foreclosures.
